BIOS:
Dr. Satyendra Pandey is presently serving as Scientist-C at ICMR-NITHR, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He has extensive expertise in entomology and vector-borne diseases, with over 14 years of professional experience under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), National Health Mission, Madhya Pradesh. During this tenure, he made significant contributions to vector surveillance, disease control strategies, guideline development, and programme implementation across diverse operational settings.
Dr. Pandey has been awarded multiple commendations and certificates in recognition of his outstanding contributions to vector-borne disease control programmes. At ICMR-NITHR, he is actively involved in multidisciplinary research encompassing field-based investigations and laboratory studies in VBDs, entomology, virology and public health under the division of Communicable disease in the institute. He also serves as the Nodal Officer for the Master of Public Health (Entomology) programme, contributing to academic coordination, training, and capacity building.
In addition to his scientific responsibilities, he is entrusted with key institutional assignments, including coordination of Swachhata Pakhwada activities, oversight of vehicle management, and facilitation of grid-connected rooftop solar power initiatives. He is also a member of the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC). Dr. Pandey remains committed to advancing research, training, and public health outcomes in alignment with the mandate of the Institute.
